On May 11, 2015, the late 1960’s Mooney 20E arrived at Hawthorne High School, its interim home for the near future. As part of the new Aviation Maintenance Technician program being launched in the Engineering Academy in 2015 – 2016, students will be performing restoration work the aircraft under the guidance of an Airframe and Powerplant instructor.
